JULY 28 : WORLD HEPATITIS DAY

World Hepatitis Day is one of only four official World Health Organisation disease- specific days. World Hepatitis Day takes place on 28th July every year and provides international focus for patient groups and people living with viral hepatitis. The overall theme for World Hepatitis Day 2013 is ‘See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil’, as represented by the three wise monkeys, an old proverb that is commonly used to highlight how people often deal with problems by refusing to acknowledge them. The monkeys have been chosen for our campaign to highlight that around the world hepatitis is still being largely ignored. We are calling for people to uncover their senses and confront the realities of hepatitis.
